It is interesting that Nokia decided to add his first touch screen interface in a mass market mobile phone instead of in one of their premium N-series multimedia devices. In any case, this is it, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic complete with the Finnish company’s recent user interface.

Naturally, the highlight of this device is the touchscreen-activated Series60 (S60) interface. This is an extension of its existing S60 3rd edition UI and is dubbed S60 5th edition. What happened to “4″, you ask? Well, according to Tuula Rytila-Uotila, Vice President of Live, GoTo Market, the company that traditionally do not use that code in their products. The 5800 does not have a dedicated pad or an Enter button, but instead is completely controlled by touch screen. The resistive LCD allows you to use your fingers or a pen for input. Will the music theme, Nokia also includes a plectrum - normally used with a guitar on plucking or strumming - as an alternative pointing device.

What is the main different between Nokia N85 and other N-series? It would be the look and feel of this Nseries handset. In Nokia N85, the design is really change; I think the N85 is shaping up to be a key product for the Finnish phone-maker in the coming months.

I own each of N-series, and I would like to say that Nokia N85 is the best so far. It’s clean and sleek design, compare to other N-series like N96 and N82, it has all what you need in N-series. And for the price it’s much cheaper than any other phone that rich features like N85.

If you have N95 with 8GB or N96 in your hand before, you will feel different in N85, there is significant smaller footprint. And there is 2.6 inch QVGA screen, and the different is in the OLED display. OLED display consume less power but better screen legibility.

Nokia N85 excluded 2mm charging port just previous models. And it use micro USB for both synchronizing and charging, Volume control is on the right side, there is a pear a speaker phone and dedicated keylock button in place.

Here is the Nokia N85 specification at a glance:

iPhone or HTC diamond? talk about price HTC is good, the features not sure

HTC touch 3D interface called TouchFLO in the great innovation technology that will make HTC Touch Diamond be the great touch phone in the earth. HTC soon will launch their new 3D touch smart phone “Touch Diamond” and “Touch Pro” in the U.S. via Sprint.

Techpedia.biz said that this HTC touch product will be the top competitor again iPhone. But I’m sure enough with statement, as iPhone 3G is also greatest touch phone and already spread in the planet.

Thing that intersting to me is the new adoption of the 2.8-inch touch screen and VGA 3.2M built-in camera,Touch Diamond gives a whole new Internet experience using mobile broadband as a speed with HSDPA 7.2 Mbps HSUPA and connectivity without wires. i forgot to check whether iPhone build it with HSDPA already.

And the also great idea to include Mobile OS 6.1, 2.0 with EDR Bluetooth, GPS function and much more. The Diamond Touch will be available on the 14 September for USD 249.99 with a two-year contract. What do you thing about the price?

Vodafone announced that, starting on 1 September, it would be a new pay as you talk (PAYT) price plan called Text Unlimited and targeted against British users who can not live without sending lots of SMS messages each day.

The new price plan can be selected for free by Vodafone’s new and existing pay as you talk customers. The deal goes like this: V-carrier offering “subtitling rewards” for all those who top up their monthly plan. More precisely:

The start up      5 pounds and Vodafone offer unlimited SMS weekday evenings, for the coming      months;

Beginning of      10 pounds and get unlimited messages for weekdays and weekend evenings;

Beginning of 30 pounds or more and enjoy a full month for unlimited messages, whether it is day or night.

“Vodafone is the first and only British mobile network to allow pay as you talk customers make free unlimited texts when they TopUp from just £ 5 per month,” said Ian Shepherd, consumers head of Vodafone UK. “And with a new simple flat rate of 20p for calls, we continue to offer outstanding value.”

In addition to the new unlimited text offers, Vodafone UK will release two new color versions of the Sony Ericsson K770i Cyber-shot, called the “Silver Star Heaven” and “Touch of Pink” - we have heard about them last week, when Serene Black and Natural colors Brown was also the light of day.

Now, the K770 is not really the newest phone in town, so it is available since 2007, but it is still nice little unit. Its features include a 3.2 Megapixel camera with auto focus, flash and video recording, GSM and HSDPA connection, a (kind of small) 1.9-inch TFT display with 256 colors and 240 x 320 pixels, with TrackID music player, FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, NetFront browser, email and a 256 MB Memory Stick Micro card.

No word yet on how much the pink and silver Sony Ericsson K770i mobile phones will cost, but a high price is almost certainly ruled out. 1st September to clear everything up anyway.
