Nokia 6212 Classic approved by FCC

FCC recently approved a new Nokia candybar, the Nokia 6212 Classic, a handset that was first announced by the Finnish company back in april. The phone can not be seen by many users as a "good-looking device", but at least it has some nice features packed into it.

First of all, 6212 berths in the NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, which allows users to connect it with other NFC devices, transfer data and even make electronic payments. The candybar further provides quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) and 3G, but only if the UMTS frequencies (850 / 2100 MHz), so there will not be able to provide data transfer speeds of up to 384 Kbps .

The rest of the features for 6212 include: a 2-inch TFT screen with 16 million colors and a QVGA resolution (240 x 320 pixels), Push to Talk, Opera Mini browser, push email, instant messaging, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, MP3 and MPEG4 player, stereo FM radio, Nokia Xpress Audio messaging, miniUSB, a 2 Megapixel camera with flash and video recording, forward-facing camera for video calls, HF and so on. The 6212 has only 22MB of internal memory, but there are also microSD card support up to 4 GB.

Nokia 6212 Classic weighs just 88 grams, measures 114.7 x 47.1 x 14.5 mm and comes with a 1000 mAh battery can provide up to 3.3 hours of talk-mode, or up to 300 hours in standby mode.

There are no data on the release of the Nokia 6212 Classic, but since the mobile phone now has FCC approval and it supports the North American wireless frequencies, it may soon be released by a U.S. operator. As for the price of the 6212 Classic, this should be somewhere around $ 300 (free from the contract agreement).
